This page provides a guide for resolving some common issues with accessing online content for your course.
NOTE: A Mac OS X update on 10/17/12 disabled the ability of Java Applets to run in browsers using Apple's Java distribution, so the solution with Java Preferences mentioned in the above link will no longer work. Instead, you will need to download the latest version of Java from Oracle.
- David's Message Boards for Test Preparation
Please feel free to use these forums to ask questions and discuss your test preparation. I especially encourage you to share questions here if you think they may affect other students.

A bit of information of the Prometric Test Center location in San Jose.
MCAT
- Official AAMC MCAT Site
- The 2013 MCAT Essentials [PDF, 914 KB]
- Student Syllabus
The Student Guide has a list of the homework for your classes. The most recent version of this will always be available under the "In Case You Did Not Receive Your MCAT Books" section of the student portal, but I am including a PDF of just the syllabus pages here for your convenience. Please note that that the Core Tests, while not listed in this guide, are also required. The schedule for taking those is listed under the "Core Tests" section in the portal.
GRE
- Official ETS GRE Site
- PowerPrep II Software
This free software from ETS is probably the closest approximation you will see to the actual Revised GRE test environment. Two full length tests are included. You should plan to allow time to take these tests before your test date. Unfortunately, it only runs on a Windows OS.
- ETS Test Day Information and Instructions
Reading this information before your test day is recommended so you will know what to expect.
- ETS bulletin for test takers with disabilities and health needs.
ETS does allow for special test accommodations (e.g. double time, extra breaks, etc.) for documented conditions. However, this requires approval prior to test registration. Approval may take six or more weeks, so please make your request early and allow plenty of time for the process if you need any accommodations.

- Argument Topic Pool

- The Wizard of Oz Vocabulary Builder
This book is a good way to learn some new GRE-appropriate vocabulary; I recommended it if you are looking for larger verbal improvements.

You will be asked to complete this survey at the end of your GRE course.
